Question about Sovereign Deck 6

Recommended Posts

We have booked on Sovereign for the end of October. I'm excited to see the changes in her since we sailed on her several years ago. Our cabin in on Deck 6 (Tween, I think). I noticed on the deck plans that that deck is only a "partial" deck - it doesn't run the length of the ship. I'm guessing that the shops, casino, etc. on Deck 5 are taller than one level and that's the explanation. Can anyone tell me? Yikes! I just figured out how accessible the casino will be to DH!

While I have the floor, a second question - will we receive our C & A coupon books when we get our docs, or when we board the ship? Whom do we talk to if they don't come?

Your C & A coupon books will arrive in your cabin some time after embarkation. If you haven't received them by the first full morning, either speak with your room steward, or go to the Loyalty Ambassador (hours and location are on the Compass), and he/she will give it to you.

The shops, etc., are kind of like on floor 5 1/2.....(if that makes any sense). You have to walk down about 5 steps from that deck to deck 5. Level 5 is a great location - 1/2 way between everything, and closer than that to others!

So glad to hear that deck 5 is a good location. I originally wanted a different deck but this is where we ended up to get connecting cabins and 4 cabins near each other. I couldn't figure out the stairs from looking at the deck plans until you explained it. Thanks. First time on RCI for us.

We were on deck 5 in April and it was a perfect location. The elevators are slow at times so you are halfway to anywhere on the ship!! I decided against deck 6 because I read on these boards some people heard jogging on deck 7 early in the morning even though it is posted no jogging before 10:00am. On a previous Sovereign cruise we were on deck 7, promenade deck which was ok, just a lot of steps to climb after a shore excursion. The people walking past the window didn't bother me and it was only a few steps to the deck outside.
