Beyond The Sea 03 Posted June 8, 2014 #1 Share Posted June 8, 2014 Hi, We are sailing on Independence Of the Seas from Southampton in 3 weeks, & I have just realised that one of the cabins we booked is a promenade view above the Dog & Badger. Does anyone know how noisy this could be, & at what time the music is turned off? If it is going to be noisy, does anyone have advice for us? Thanks!!! :)
Grannycb Posted June 8, 2014 #2 Share Posted June 8, 2014 Google 'cabin advice Independence of the Seas'. There are sites that tell you problem cabin locations.

Thanks!!! :) The Promenade rooms are well insulated and the occasional extra noise from the short lived parades and other planned events that may take place in the Royal Promenade are typically over by 11:00 PM - but the in room noise from that is not excessive either. You should hear no noise from the Dog & Badger or anything else with that stateroom location. Edited June 8, 2014 by leaveitallbehind
Outnumbered1234 Posted June 8, 2014 #4 Share Posted June 8, 2014 We were in a family promenade stateroom on Freedom and we loved it. We had small kids so we could sit at the window and enjoy the mayhem without leaving our room while the kids slept. The music nights were loud but were done easily before midnight. The rest of the time the noise was not too significant. But we really wore ourselves and our kids out. So when people were tired - they slept! No problem!
