TD #9 How will it effect St Thomas 8/10

We are on the 8/7 Mariner and when we stop at St Thomas we are getting married on the beach. I need any weather expert to tell me what the chances of this storm stopping the ship from docking there?

If the NHC is correct it won't have any effect on St. Thomas, except perhaps maybe some higher than average waves on the north facing beaches... http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/refresh/graphics_at4+shtml/204616.shtml?5day?large

Mkripke I suggest you watch this web site very closely. http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/ right now they have it forecast to to go north of the islands and you should be in and out of St Thomas before it gets there.....good luck and congratulations

After reading your responses, I looked up a ST Thomas map, and it shows the the docks for the cruise ships is on the south side of the island. I cross my fingers that things will be ok.

Yes, they are on the south side, and in a protected harbour. The latest forecast anyway is that it should head up into the north Atlantic and not even become a hurricane so I'm pretty confident you'll be safe. It looks like it's going east of Bermuda even.
