I have a dumb question

I guess it never hurts to ask- maybe. I have qualified for a couple free cruises on carnival from my carnival play in the last year. However, I am kinda getting tired of their ships and would like to go on RC again. Is there a way to parlay my play from carnival onto RC like a free cruise or comps. I had about 7.5k points last trip and wondered if the ocean players club kept track for a singular cruise line or for the 3 biggest. thanks.

I would normally say no, but it looks like Ocean Players Club covers multiple lines. It looks like some other cruiselines are covered - but they are part of the Carnival family.

Try checking out the clubsite at http://www.oceanplayersclub.com/

(and, try to be more descriptive in your TITLE next time)

Call the line that you want to sail on and speak to the casino dept. I am not sure how big your play was to get 7.5k points, but if it is high roller status you should have no problem getting comps from the big cruise lines. The first time that I had ever sailed on XXX Line, I called and spoke to the casino dept and got a comped room beforehand. I had them call my host at Foxwoods and it was all taken care of. They will take a chance with you if you have a strong play history with them or without them.

RCI is not under the same casino umbrella as Carnival. They have their own casino program called Club Royale. If you are a member of MLife or MGM, you can get some additional benefits in the casino, even a free cruise on Royal Caribbean.

With Club Royale, as a slot player they want you to earn at least 2000 points on a 7 day cruise before you will be eligible to join their player club. For slot playing, every $20 you play will earn you 5 points. As far as the tables, they indicate they want you to play $50 per hand for a few hours per day. I have seem people play $25 a hand and still received some comp drinks. Once you complete your first cruise and become a member of Club Royale they will give you cash back on your next sailing. You can either take the cash back in cash or use it towards the cost of a cabin.

Depending how much you gamble, you may be entitled to a free cruise. If you had 7500 points with Royal, you would be entitled to about $1100 in cash back, which is approx. 15% of your total points.

Again, depending how much $ you gamble, they will also offer you a discount on future cruises along with you cash back. They also will invite you to special sailings at a reduce rate.

Here is their VIP phone # for Club Royale 888-561-2234.

Good Luck to you.
