Platinum Gift

Just received my gifts, from a November cruise, in the mail. They were Tervis Tumblers. On our April cruise, the gifts were engraved whiskey glasses. Very cool. I'd never seen them before.

Those use to be an over-priced Bon Voyage item that simply didn't sell well, so they got pulled from inventory, and until the storage shelves were emptied, they'd be used as Platinum/Diamond gifts.

Not a bad arrangement by any means, but certainly not something that was originally designed as a loyalty gift. ;)

Wow one way to get rid of something. Next will be dishes from DR when they need to be replaced.

Don't the new coffee mugs have a metal band on the rim and bottom? That's what the picture looks like. If so I guess you can't use them in a microwave.

The whole inside is lined with aluminum. No doesn't appear microwave safe at all. Got ours on the Conquest 2 weeks ago.

I thought the mugs looked very nice, but I wish they were microwave safe. Guess I'll have to use my teapot to boil my water for tea. That's if the mugs are still the gift when we cruise next January.
