ryansmith18 Posted June 12, 2014 #1 Share Posted June 12, 2014 Hello everybody! Never been to Roatan, headed there this January. My wife is suuuuper interested in the Blue Harbor Tropical Arboretum, but it's on the other side of the island from our ship (Mahogany Bay, not Coxen Hole). According to their website it's about a half hour taxi ride. Is Roatan setup similar to other ports like Cozumel? With flat rate taxi routes to different destinations? Is there another, more optimal way to go about getting there and back? Anybody by chance got a guess as to how much this would cost us each way? Thanks in advance! The taxi prices are not regulated and they can be quite high. I would suggest two options.. One of the many tour companies would be more than happy to show you the island and add Blue Harbor to the itinerary. Or Contact Blue Harbor, they may do the transfer.. or they could arrange a safe taxi for you.
johnnywas Posted June 12, 2014 #3 Share Posted June 12, 2014 Contact Blue Harbor Tropical Arboretum for the transfer, they will also give you a brief tour of the island to and from the dock, best way to go.
