Haven't been able to find anything on HAL web site or in this forum regarding preordering alcohol and mixer for the cabin prior to the cruise. Can anybody point me in the right direction?

On the HAL website log into your reservations and go to purchase indulgences. You will see a list of items that includes beverages. This will list over 100 liquors and wines that you can prepurchase for your stateroom.

Thanks for the info. I now have a bottle of hootch for both me and the missus waiting in our cabin on our upcoming cruise. Much more reasonable price than Princess too.

It should also be pointed out that you can call room service or got to any bar and get a bottle of whatever for the same price as listed above at any time during your cruise. It seems like a lot of people are not aware of this.

We will on the veendam soon. We do not have a room with a fridge. Will the Bev Mgr allow us to buy some of the mini bottles with the mariner discount to have in our room? I have already ordered a bottle of my dads favorite gin for him. There are just a few that my mom would like. She is not a big drinker but does have a nightcap now and then. Just curious. Thanks

The bottle prices of alcohol are not bad at all .... especially when compared to bottles of wine aboard.

 

A liter of Crown Royal is around $48.

A bottle of Barringers Zin is around $38 aboard. (sells for a max of $7.99 at the grocery store)

Not a hard choice to make when the bottle of wine = 2 1/2 glasses each while the Crown gives more bang for the buck :D

 

We do get a wine package for wine with dinner but enjoy a drink while getting ready for our late seating dinner or a sunset on the balcony :)
