Question on Price Reduction?

Recommended Posts

A few weeks ago we booked a last minute cruise sailing in July. I noticed that the IS GTY that we booked cost more then the current OS cabins so called to see if we could switch to OS. I was old no, that the current price was for assigned cabins. Should I continue to call and try to get it changed? Not sure why they wouldn't do it considering it wouldn't cost anything.

I definitely would and ask different reps. What about looking for an oceanview or even a balcony cabin that's only a few dollars more and offer to pay the difference. I did that just recently and it was handled in minutes. I also booked a last minute cruise only a few weeks out and upgraded after final payment.

I think that technically, they are not supposed to allow you to do it. With the rate you booked, I believe that no changes are allowed at all. But it can't hurt to call back & ask someone else. You may find someone willing to bend the rules.
