autofan Posted June 20, 2014 #26 Share Posted June 20, 2014 You need to be proactive with them. Do as others have suggested, after folding them, put tape on them, I use the two inch wide. When I attaché to the luggage I not only staple but also tape. Those flying will not be able to do both but if you use enough tape they will stay. Also, it is a good idea to have one tag inside on top of the contents.
Mary Ellen1 Posted June 20, 2014 #27 Share Posted June 20, 2014 ... Finally one NEW option not yet mentioned is don't print/attach the pre-printed tags. Just tell the porter at the pier your cabin number. He'll put a tag on This is exactly what we do. Get the luggage tags from the porter. No tape, no staples, no laminating, no scissors. Free. I'm surprised by how much trouble people go to, but then again, it's part of the process, right? Stress about the luggage tags, stress about the dining arrangements... It's all good! We're cruisin'! :D
elainmir Posted June 21, 2014 #28 Share Posted June 21, 2014 I've done the tape route and the laminate and zip tie route...the laminate route works best for me, I don't end up taping everything all weird :D
Taters Posted June 21, 2014 #29 Share Posted June 21, 2014 We've never printed luggage tags. We just get them from the porter.
