Hotel/Pool/Beach

Hi

I'll be in Cozumel in August on the Dream and was not impressed with the excursions or the reviews on the beaches (lots of remarks about rocks). Any suggestions on a hotel with a pool and a beach. Someplace close that we can either walk from the port or grab a quick cab ride.

Nothing close by the Puerta Maya pier. But may I suggest Paradise Beach, Mr. Sanchos, or Nachi Cocum. They are all a short taxi ride away

I vote for Mr. Sanchos! It is on a wonderful beach and has water rides in the ocean (for a fee). Look at YouTube for videos!

Hi Skya,

Getting a day pass to a nice resort with beach, pools, etc is something we do A LOT

If you google : cozumel day passes to resorts for cruise guests, it will show a few.. A couple that looked really nice was the Cozumel Resort. & El CID La Ceiba Beach. They both offer everything a hotel guest gets but the room itself. All food, drink, etc included. Lounge chairs, umbrellas, everything.. You can go to trip advisor and read reviews of the resorts as well... Hope that helped.

We will be in Cozumel in November with 4 other ships:eek:. After researching we decided that we wanted some place just to chill that was all-inclusive. We opted for Nachi Cocum as they only allow 100 people per day. They have a pool and beach. Go to the ports of call link, someone gave a good breakdown of the options in Cozumel.

Another vote for Nachi Cocom, although if you want a more lively (and crowded) beach club with water toys, etc. you could also choose the AI side of Mr. Sanchos. Both are about a $16+tip (for up to 4 in the cab) taxi ride from the various pier areas.

Thanks for all the suggestions. It is a toss up between Mr. Sanchos and Nachi Cocum. The reviews for both are great. Can't wait.:)

Check our Paradise Beach!! Huge beautiful pool and great beach. They have lots of fun activities too for both kids and adults. They only charge $3 usd for use of chairs and I think they ask you to send something on food and drinks which is not that hard :)
