Emerald Princess 9/2015

I was looking at some med cruises for September 2015 and came upon a nice itinerary for the Emerald Princess for Sept 19th out of Athens. When I tried to look at prices I saw that the mini suites are sold out as well as many balcony cabins. Is that weird since it's more than a year away?

Spoke to Princess and yes 15 months out, all mini suites and most balcony cabins are sold out. It must be a great cruise!

It's not unusual for a cruise to be sold out a year in advance, or even 18 months. Particularly if it's a unique or relatively unique itinerary. People book and cancel all the time for a variety of reasons. This cruise might be sold out now but it might not be in three months. Keep checking.

If you can do 14 days there is a cruise that has the same ports for the first 7 days but then carries on and ends in Barcelona. All categories are available so if it doesn't sell I'd bet that Princess starts to open the mini-suites and suites for the first part.

I have booked this cruise last week, because of the good deal the was offering.

 

OBC and free upgrade in cabins. We found that normal grade of cabin had all sold out. So we moved up a grade, but there was only couple of cabins left.

 

From what I have found out from the website this cruise is new.

Just curious - is this a 7 day cruise? When I looked a few months ago it seems Princess is offering more 7 day cruises and they seem to be very popular and very expensive.

Those cruises are very popular, but many hold bookings then release them by the time final comes.

The majority of Princess cruises sell out anyway, its always good to grab a cabin while you can.

No the 19th September is 14 nights.

 

This will be our 4 time on the emerald princess.
