Starboard vs port side

Recommended Posts

'Usually', the Explorer docks in Bermuda with the Port side facing the town. That said, sometimes they go in the other way if they have some training or maintenance to do in port.

As far as watching the port/city going in or out of port, we usually watch from the top deck so we don't miss anything....

Go up to the "Viking Crown Lounge" on deck 14 and you'll have a spectacular unobstructed view of starboard and port, plus the ship's top decks. Comfortable seating, air conditioning and great drinks are available. The lounge is usually not very crowded; the mid-ship port elevators are the only means of access.
