Rare boards Posted July 9, 2014 #26 Share Posted July 9, 2014 Our TA has booked our transfer to the pier that the Volendam is to be docked, so we are trusting that the driver will know where to take us. I have decided not to worry about it for now.

Cruisin' Chick Posted July 16, 2014 #28 Share Posted July 16, 2014 So does anyone know of any less expensive parking than the pier if we are driving in?? Did you check the rate with the hotel you're staying at (if they have a cruise package)? Do a search on BruinSteve's posts here on this board and you might get some suggestions. SadieN Posted July 16, 2014 #29 Share Posted July 16, 2014 So does anyone know of any less expensive parking than the pier if we are driving in?? Long Beach is $17/day + hourly if you go over any 24hour period. Keep your receipt out after paying exiting the structure as you will need it again. Parking structure and outside parking. San Pedro is $12/day. Never gone over the 24hr limit so do not know how San Pedro handles it. Only outside parking. Nothing in San Pedro, unless you can get a Cruise n Snooze package. Have heard very few reports of other places in Long Beach. They are in dicey areas and you would need to take the Passport bus to get to the Dome. Only good if you travel light. We have parked at Union Station $6/day then taken the Red/Purple line to the Blue Line to the Passport Bus. Takes 90 minutes or so and goes thru some very dicey areas. Again only good if you are traveling light.
