MSC late deals Europe summer 2014

We've been discussing MSC's marketing strategy, in which prices for the same cruise wildly fluctuate around the world, and for some places huge increases in fares.

 

It's interesting to note, therefore, that there are a lot of late deals on MSC being offered through UK travel agents; so far the cheapest one I've seen is a 10 day return trip on the Opera out of Southampton, with free parking and free Allegra drinks package, with insides at £549 and outside cabins starting at £699 pp.

 

Admittedly the itinerary doesn't look hugely thrilling to me but it may be attractive to others; I think it does suggest that MSC have misjudged, and mishandled, its market, and is paying the price in empty ships...
