BuddyBee Posted July 1, 2014 #1 Share Posted July 1, 2014 Since I haven't received a reply from Celebrity (surprise, surprise) I thought I'd see if anyone here could help. I am trying to figure out the difference between Big Pink Bus - Hop On/Hop Off (HX07) http://www.celebritycruises.com/plan-a-cruise/shore-excursions/productDetails?productCode=HX07&productId=200000000002694955 and The Essential Halifax Tour (HX68) http://www.celebritycruises.com/plan-a-cruise/shore-excursions/productDetails?productCode=HX68&productId=100000002263136545 Sorry if the links don't work, but the names and numbers are correct. From the descriptions they seem to be the same tour but one is $49 and one is $59. Anybody know? Or know how I can find out? (As I said, I've e-mailed Celebrity, but haven't gotten a response. Their automated reply basically says we'll get to you whenever we get to you - no more 48 hour turnaround.) And yes, I know we could do private excursions, etc., but DH is not comfortable with that and really wants to do the hop on/hop off because he has done that in cities where he has traveled for business. Thanks in advance!

Thanks in advance! Hi I believe that the tour company is called Ambassatours and they may be able to help you out. You should be able to find them on the website. I live here in Halifax so I will try and see what I can find out for you.
Merriem Posted July 2, 2014 #3 Share Posted July 2, 2014 Halifax is a lovely city. We have been their twice, and with all the history there, I would take a good city tour so you do not miss anything. There is an interesting cemetery from the Titanic which you do not want to miss. Also some good museums on the waterfront. Enjoy
RickT Posted July 2, 2014 #4 Share Posted July 2, 2014 Other than price there doesn't seem to be a difference. Halifax is a beautiful city (I lived there for 20+yrs) and I'm sure you'll see a lot of it on the hop on hop off. You may also want to consider the Harbour Hopper http://www.mtcw.ca/harbourhopper/index.php It's a fun tour which includes a quick "cruise" through the harbour. Much of what you may want to see will be within walking distance of the ship.
BuddyBee Posted July 2, 2014 Author #5 Share Posted July 2, 2014 (edited) Thank you Carmen and Pam. I found them online, but they only list one Hop On/Hop Off. I will try to call or e-mail them. Edited July 2, 2014 by BuddyBee
