legalwalker Posted July 3, 2014 #1 Share Posted July 3, 2014 For a June cruise, would we want an ocean view room, and would it be warm enough to enjoy a balcony room?
Rare Keith1010 Posted July 8, 2014 #2 Share Posted July 8, 2014 When at sea you will have to layer your clothing as it could be chilly. You just never know in Alaska whether it will be sunny, cloudy, windy or rainy and weather can change in a minute. Keith
JimAOk1945 Posted July 9, 2014 #3 Share Posted July 9, 2014 We have been to Alaska twice. We had a balcony both times. There is so much to see. Most of the time during both cruises, the weather was nice enough to sit on our balcony. Our first Alaska cruise was on the Star Princess. We had a mini-suite on Deck 9. We enjoyed it very much. The weather in Alaska is unpredictable, but we would not cruise without a balcony. The only time on both cruises when the weather was cold for a few hours, was when we were viewing the glaciers. But even then we were out on our balcony or walking around on the outside decks. I hope this helps. Alaska is amazing! Enjoy your cruise and take lots of pictures. shiner6 Posted December 1, 2014 #5 Share Posted December 1, 2014 We went on Star in June 2014 and had inside cabin. Loved it, very cozy and comfortable. We had plenty of space for viewing glaciers on decks, no problems at all ! We stayed aft and really liked the location.
