San Diego

Has anyone taken the hop on hop off trolley tour in San Diego? I have never been there and would like to get a good introduction to the city in the short time we will be in port. It has good reviews on TripAdvisor.

We lived in So. Cal. for several years before moving to Arizona. We have visited San Diego many dozens of times. We always take the San Diego Trolley at least once. Stops at all the major tourist places, hop on/hop off, you can spend as little as a couple of hours to go the loop or all day. The tour is narrated and most ot the conductors have a very good sense of humor.:)

Use the "hop on" bus, just pick some of the of the places you want to hop off. Old Town, Coronado, Very nice, many things to see & do there.:)

We used this last spring when we were in SD. We caught the trolley at the dock and rode it to(near) the zoo. We spent the day there, then rode it back to the dock. Great way to see the city!

it is very doable to do - the stop is right near the pier and will take you all over. No need to buy tickets from the ship, save the money (often cheaper on line) and buy direct from company.
