Clarea Posted July 4, 2014 #26 Share Posted July 4, 2014 (edited) Just became diamond on our last cruise. Going on our first Azamara cruise next and they started us the same level as diamond. It is for our 40th wedding anniversary so we wanted to do something special. I do not know what you mean by "balcony discount". How does that work? When you sail on Royal ships, if you sail in a stateroom with a balcony, you are entitled to a discount based on the length of your cruise. This does not apply when you sail on Celebrity or Azamara. Here is a link to the current discount amounts, courtesy of Patti: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2015457 Edited July 4, 2014 by clarea
Chuggiebug Posted July 4, 2014 #27 Share Posted July 4, 2014 We have made long lasting cruise buddies during cocktails in the Diamond Lounge. The balcony discount is nice too.
Guest maddycat Posted July 4, 2014 #28 Share Posted July 4, 2014 RCI treats it's diamond members very well. We're very happy with the balcony discount. We enjoy the evening cocktails and meeting other diamond members in the lounge. We also like getting a free photo. It's a great way to remember a cruise. We love that when we cruise with Celebrity we get Celebrity's elite benefits.
