Are the laundries open on embarkation day?

We will be boarding QM2 today and I have a lot of laundry and worryingly few clean clothes following a land trip.

 

Assuming that our luggage finds its way to our stateroom early enough I would feel happier if I could do some laundry asap.

 

Does anybody know if the laundry is likely to be open today?

Last voyage, DH and I brought laundry onboard in our handcarries, so we didn't have to wait for suitcases to be delivered before doing laundry. We were in and out in no time (before lifeboat drill).
