Are crutches allowed on buses in Bermuda?

I know that wheel chairs are not allowed on buses, but are crutches? I was reading somewhere that 'luggage' is not allowed, so it started me thinking that crutches might be considered luggage.

I also realize that crutches on buses are not the most convenient thing, but I just want to know if they are allowed before we proceed on our planning.

I'm sure crutches are fine but be aware that you must go up a couple of steps to get into the bus. That is the problem with wheelchairs - it's not that they are not allowed, it's just that we have no accessible buses.

Thank you for your reply.

My son is 8 and we can lift him up or down a few steps for the bus and carry the crutches. Likewise, we'd be able to lift him and fold the wheelchair, but even then, I read that folding wheelchairs are not allowed. (My impression was that even if it were folded, it wouldn't be allowed. I understand no accessibility for a lift or riding the bus while actually sitting in a wheelchair.)
