Jules4583 Posted July 14, 2014 #1 Share Posted July 14, 2014 We will be traveling on Celebrity Summit with 2 toddlers and plan to try to use the babysitting a few nights. Just wondering if anyone knows if this can be charged to stateroom account or does it have to be paid in cash at time of service. I have read different things. Thanks! cb at sea Posted July 14, 2014 #2 Share Posted July 14, 2014 On almost every line, it's a cash transaction. So prepare for that! If it's otherwise, then it's no big deal.

On RCI, it was charged to our on-board account. We did tip the two ladies they sent up with cash. rebeccalouiseagain Posted July 15, 2014 #4 Share Posted July 15, 2014 It's not a cash transaction. It's $19 per hour for up to three children and it is charged to your stateroom account. You can tip with cash of course.
d-train Posted July 15, 2014 #5 Share Posted July 15, 2014 We used in room baby sitting last summer on the X Summit. First off, they were great, both evenings we hired them. Second, when you board, go directly to the guest services desk to complete a request form. There are very few babysitters available with few times available, sign up right away with the request form, you will have to decide on days and hours then, so be prepared. They will leave a message on your stateroom phone later on that night on the result of your requests. The fee includes two people to minimize risk, etc... And will be billed to your account. Tips in cash are welcome though :) Enjoy your cruise!

Laurenran Posted August 14, 2015 #7 Share Posted August 14, 2015 Great information thanks! We plan on using these services on our Summit cruise next year. We will plan on reserving services as soon as we are in the ship, has anyone not been able to reserve requested days?
Joel&Hall Posted August 15, 2015 #8 Share Posted August 15, 2015 When we were on Celebrity Eclipse in the Baltic we tried to book in room baby sitting as soon as we got on, they told us they were already booked out, later in the cruise we called again and was able to get 1 night from 8pm-11pm.
