lovelife Posted July 18, 2014 #26 Share Posted July 18, 2014 Thank you everyone for all your opinions and ideas!! I really want to go to Puerto Rico so I think I'll take some of the other cruisers advice and stick with the 2nd option and perhaps look at an interior room if we want to save some $$. Btw I'm cruising w my hubby who will just be returning from Afghanistan. I'll gladly spend the extra $$ for a vacation we enjoy, just making sure I'm not missing anything. Thanks again, you guys are great!!! I just looked and the price of an interior room is higher than the PR so, I guess we'll be keeping what we have. LOL Thanks to your DH for his service - he is much appreciated. My son served in Afghanistan and we too went on a cruise upon his return. The promenade cabin is a unique experience and San Juan is great. I hope you have a wonderful time.
BARNET Posted July 18, 2014 #27 Share Posted July 18, 2014 If you want to save $500 option 1 has to be your choice, I would go for option 2 for the ports of call. I served in the British armed forces and we used to go to Belize IMO not the greatest place in the world and you will by anchored off unless things have changed over the years so that means a tender trip, which is not a short trip in it's self. May be you have a 3rd option how about a cruise from Miami or Fort Lauderdale. Enjoy what ever one you do.:)
