how much is cost pp from port to airport? how long does it take to get off ship, etc?

Last December it cost $25 from POM to airport, not per person but for the cab, we had three people. Took 20-25 minutes and we left ship early and had no problem getting off, just depends what zone you are scheduled to depart.

Drive time is about 20 minutes.

 

I would try not to book a flight before Noon.

I've done the 10:45an out of MIA. I like gamble, do you? If not I too would recommend a 12 noon or later flight.

I don't like stress so it is noon or later for me. One time we arrived earlier than expected and I was able to get on an earlier flight but I know too well what can go wrong.

In my personal experience I've found an 11:20am flight quite doable in Miami. My experience has been on a Friday morning departure.

 

It's all going to depend on the ship, how many in port, etc.
