St. Thomas with kids - What to do

Hi all -

We are on the Fantasy later this fall for the eastern route, which is a first for me. I'm not finding lots of kid-friendly excursions like we did for the western route.

 

Our crew consists of a mom, dad, grandma, 8 year old, 7 year old and 18 month old. We are already asking grandma to watch the kids for us in St. Maarten, so I'd like to find something that we can do together in St. Thomas.

 

Suggestions for a varied age crew?

Oh my, there are lots of kid friendly Eastern things.

 

St. Thomas--Coral World/Coki Beach. Coral World has a web site. There are often coupons on the web site and/or in the tourist magazines that are free at the port. It is an aquarium, walk in underwater viewing area, hiking trails, touch tanks with "educators," snack bar, gift shop, etc. Right across the parking lot is Coki Beach--free, family friendly. EASY to do on your own.

 

Butterfly farm --walking distance from the port.

"Tram" ride to top of mountain (walking distance from port).

 

St. Maarten--beaches, "That Yoda Guy" shop for Star Wars freaks, day pass for water taxi same price as 2 rides.

Take care any trip with snorkelling endure all the family are very good swimmers, the Turtle cove and honeymoon bay you get your snorkel gear on and jump off, you didn't dock, and ours we had a storm.

We will be leaving this week end on the Fantasy Total of 7 of us We have bean to St Thomas Many times

Nothing to get exited about

We chose this trip mostly to enjoy the the ship with our 2 Grand Kids ages 2 1/2 & 4 1/2

The ship will be less crowded when it is in Port

When in St. Thomas My Wife and Doughtier will get off to do some shoping
