Cruisin Amy Posted August 10, 2005 #1 Share Posted August 10, 2005 We are flying into FLL airport the day before our Cruise which is out of Miami and I was wondering if there is Hotel that will pick us up at FLL airport. Also does the same hotel take us to the Pier... This is for Carnival Victory...
S.S.Oceanlover Posted August 10, 2005 #2 Share Posted August 10, 2005 I don't think so. You'll have to find your own transportation to Miami which is about 25 miles south of FLL. You can also stay in a hotel in FLL and take the cruiselines transportation the day of the cruise. taxis or limos run in the $60.00+ range. Cruisin Amy Posted August 10, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted August 10, 2005 We are cruising out of Miami...now to find a nice hotel/kid friendly with shuttle to the pier!
palmtre2 Posted August 10, 2005 #4 Share Posted August 10, 2005 We took Tri-county Limos (found on the ground tranportation section of FLL's website) to the Holiday Inn on the beach in Miami ($60 - shuttle is $17/pp) and we reserved Tri-County to pick us up at the port for our return to the airport ($80). A taxi from our hotel to the port was $26 plus tip. Holiday Inn was within walking distance of South Beach, it has a nice pool area and fronts the beach. If you go ask to stay in the "tower" section of the hotel as it is newer and quieter.
S.S.Oceanlover Posted August 10, 2005 #5 Share Posted August 10, 2005 I just read this in another thread about a company called BCExpress that sounds like it may be what you are looking for. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=216999 Bill
mnsawyer Posted August 10, 2005 #6 Share Posted August 10, 2005 I believe there is a hotel on South Beach that includes transfers from FLL to the hotel and back. Chesterfield? Clinton? something like that. Haven't read super reviews on it but it would save you some bucks if you are interested in staying in the Miami area pre-post cruise. BlueHerons Posted August 10, 2005 #7 Share Posted August 10, 2005 Because car rentals are so cheap in Florida and they don't charge one way drop off fees, you may be better off renting a car for two days.
