Anyone stayed in Staten Island and left their care there? How to get to port?

This may be a thought any thoughts on it and if so where did you stay and how was the transportation?

Any shot at taking the ferry and then a cab from the ferry terminal to the port?

It's probably easier & cheaper to stay in NJ

The Hilton Garden Inn on Staten Island has a park & cruise program. They also offer the option of being picked up at Newark Airport and shuttled the next day to the Bayonne cruise port. It's a really nice property, and I can absolutely recommend having a great dinner at their Lorenzo's restaurant. I think the phone number is 718-477-2400. You have to make reservations for the shuttles, although there is no charge.
