On Tuesday, I booked a cruise. Pack n Go rate. Yesterday, it went down $40. Bummer! I emailed my PVP about something else and mentioned the price drop. He emailed back and said a $44 OBC was now on my account. Price guarantee of 110% for 2 days from when you book!! Yep, it is there already. Woohoo- a few extra drinks. ;-). Love my PVP. I had forgotten about this policy.

I originally booked the ES/military rate, and changed to the pack-n-go rate a few weeks ago. I was under the assumption that the png rate was it for savings/price drops/obc until I read your post. I called Carnival, to see if I was eligible for any discounts, and the rep. told men I could change the rate to the new past guest offer, which would get me an obc of $420!!!!!:eek: She told me she submitted the forms for the discounts, and her system was already showing the obc in her system, but to check the booking on Monday to make sure thats its showing on my end. She also informed me that our cabin would revert back to a guarantee cabin/TBA, but the savings is worth making the change.

That's awesome. Mine went down by $80, but it was 3 days after booking rather the two.

 

However, prices have since gone up by hundreds, so I'm not too upset - at least I got in before the price rise :)
