Hi all,

I changed my booking on my upcoming Alaska cruise on the Century to room 9010. Being a Captain's Club member, I was allowed a free upgrade to this 9A stateroom.

On Saturday the 19th of July, I took a look at the photos of the Century on cruisedeckplans.com. I was shocked to see that my stateroom was partially obstructed by the scafolding used for washing the windows. I was not advised of this obstructed view prior to booking.

Thankfully, a nice lady from the resolutions department investigated my complaint by checking out with the ship. The ship confirmed this partial obstruction. Of course, had I known this before booking, I would not have booked this room. I'ts an Alaska cruise after all...!

Thankfully, this gracious lady from the resolutions department, by the name of DJ, came through, after the ship confirmed the partial (major) obstruction. No other Ocean Views being available, I have been awarded a balcony GTY. Way to go Celebrity, and, of course DJ!

I have been advised that this, and other staterooms blocked by this cleaning equipment will be noticed of the obstruction. Thanks Cruise Critic and Cruisedeckplans.com!
