ladypirate2012 Posted August 2, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 2, 2014 Sailing on the March 28th spring break and planning to come in Thursday ahead of the cruise to have Friday to tour San Juan. Would like recommendations for hotel, would like ocean/beach, but not too expensive for taxi to the port. Hotels that include breakfast would be awesome.... bouhunter Posted August 2, 2014 #2 Share Posted August 2, 2014 (edited) Most of the hotels on the beach are higher end properties - not cheap and no free breakfast...... Condado and Isla Verda are the areas you want for beaches. Taxi's to/from airport and cruise ship will run 20.00 +/-. If you're worried about small expenses like taxi costs and free breakfasts prepare yourself- San Juan is a GREAT place to visit, but not cheap. You might want to check out Embassy Suites - just a block or two from the beach and they do provide breakfast. Don't visit without seeing Old San Juan! DrJJ Posted August 4, 2014 #5 Share Posted August 4, 2014 We stayed at the Renaissance on Av. Ashford (Condado Beach). The hotel property was beautiful, and there were many food options nearby.
ladypirate2012 Posted October 30, 2014 Author #6 Share Posted October 30, 2014 I made two reservations, one at Marriott Stelaris and Condado Plaza Hilton. Trip Advisor is #4 for Marriott, waaaaaaay down for Hilton. leaning towards the Marriott. Any advice either way?
