Aft Facing Ocean View Rooms

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has been in an aft-facing ocean view room on the main deck on the Liberty or one of her sister ships... not one of the oversized corner rooms, but the 6 cabins that face directly aft.

 

I can see the layout on the Carnival website, but I can't find any good pictures. Are there any drawbacks to these rooms?

Can't speak to that (Conquest) class of ships. But that is the cabin style that my brother has me book for him and his wife each time we cruise on the Fantasy class ships.

You might feel vibration from the props. Will feel the side thrusters when docking.

 

If you're on Main you might hear a little bit from the MDR above, but not too much.

 

Only drawback is that some might be narrower than the others. We encountered this on the Splendor. The deckplans are drawn to scale.

Positive note- no matter which hallway you turn down you'll get to your cabin.

 

We've had aft facing OV on the Fantasy class, aft facing balconies on the Splendor. Last November were in 2470 on the Conquest.

Do you mean the aft extended balcony rooms? I love them, just booked my second one...can't wait!!!!!!! YouTube has a lot of videos that show them.

I have only stayed in the huge corner rooms, but the only downside to the very aft facing ones that I can think of is that the windows are on a slant, possibly distorting your view some.

 

You won't hear any noise from the dining room above as it's carpeted, and you will experience vibrations but I love that. It's white noise and it lulls you to sleep.
