texasnana Posted August 4, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 4, 2014 I was wondering if you can bring a case of soda in your luggage or check it? If not what is the price of a glass/can of soda? Thanks
roger001 Posted August 4, 2014 #2 Share Posted August 4, 2014 Yes, you can bring it. A can of soda is about $2.25 on board.
danfiveoh Posted August 4, 2014 #3 Share Posted August 4, 2014 If you don't have room in your luggage, you can carry it on when you board.
GrabMyWrist Posted August 4, 2014 #4 Share Posted August 4, 2014 Don't worry about packing it. Slap a luggage tag on a case and check it with your luggage. It will arrive at your cabin.
newmexicoNita Posted August 4, 2014 #5 Share Posted August 4, 2014 There is no problem bringing it on, either check it through as suggested or carry it on. I will be honest, I am willing to bet, in the next few years it won't be allowed, so enjoy while you can. For me, it isn't worth the hassle. cmdchiefthom Posted August 4, 2014 #6 Share Posted August 4, 2014 If you prefer Coke products you'll have to bring your own onboard. No big deal, wrap a case in plastic and tape a luggage tag to the outside, most, if not all of it will make it to your cabin:eek:
Hikini Posted August 4, 2014 #7 Share Posted August 4, 2014 No problem bringing it on. We usually just bring enough to get us by until the next port.
Tiggertastic Posted August 4, 2014 #8 Share Posted August 4, 2014 Seen people use a travel luggage trolley to wheel it on too
Tazzy0831 Posted August 5, 2014 #9 Share Posted August 5, 2014 The best way is to bring what sodas you like and print extra luggage tags to tape around them. They will arrive with your luggage and be outside of your door. The main thing is to make sure the luggage tags won't come off during the handling of it. BayouDoc Posted August 6, 2014 #10 Share Posted August 6, 2014 The baggage handler's (port employees, not NCL) in New Orleans will not allow checked cases of soda. I've heard this may be true in Tampa as well. These ports you must either carry them on or put them in a suitcase. I don't know if you would then have to open the suitcase in the "naughty room" or not. If so they would just have you open the suitcase and let you go with it. I don't know whether the port of Houston will allow checked soda or not. I hope someone will post their policies after the first Jewel cruise in October. spidybabe Posted August 6, 2014 #11 Share Posted August 6, 2014 No problem if sailing out of NY. Either just stick luggage tag on case of soda or put in duffle bag and give to long shore men along with luggage. Delivered right to ur room. If in duffle bag, put in plastic bag also--once one can was very close to exploding, and once two cans were taken from case with luggage tag (put thick tape around case, or wrap in plastic). Def worth bringing on yourself..We need soda in the cabin Safe sailing
