Yes. Ensure you tag it with a luggage tag so they know which cabin to deliver it to.

Yes you can. Either stick it into duffle bag, or just stick luggage tag on it. We have done both(sailing from NY). In duffle bag, one can was very close to exploding from tossing bags, so I suggest you place it in plastic bag. With luggage tag on case, two cans were missing.
