PompeySailor Posted August 5, 2014 #2 Share Posted August 5, 2014 We were able to purchase a few hours of wifi onboard to check on the kids but were 99% unplugged all week. No texts, no calls, no internet. This is the bonus of cruising. It's amazing to realize how much time we spend with our phones/ipads/computers. It was really nice to sit through a dinner without a phone buzzing. Liked this in the review.. That's what it is all about..:) Glad you had a great cruise.. Looking forward to our Allure sailing

Japolina Posted August 5, 2014 Author #6 Share Posted August 5, 2014 Thanks for the feedback. My husband not having a cell phone in his hand at all times is definitely a huge bonus while taking a cruise! When we do cruise with the kids, it is also great seeing their faces instead of the tops of those heads!
EbayCruiser Posted August 5, 2014 #7 Share Posted August 5, 2014 Nice review - we are sailing on the Allure in Sept. & can't wait. We do not purchase any internet pkgs. and of course turn off all cell phones. It is pure BLISS .... love it. Everyone we know (including work) knows that we will be unreachable for a whole week! We cruise to rest and relax!!!
CruiseFanatic123 Posted August 5, 2014 #8 Share Posted August 5, 2014 Great review! We went on the Allure a few weeks ago, and your pictures are already making me miss it.
casinostreer Posted August 5, 2014 #9 Share Posted August 5, 2014 Love the review - and glad you two had a great time. The Allure was my first cruise ship ever - and for us it was a little TOO big. But we still had a fantastic time. We brought our 1 year old with us who required a lot of attention. Now she's almost 3 and a little easier to travel with. So - we're off to the Freedom! Thanks again for the review!
jndsilver31 Posted August 5, 2014 #10 Share Posted August 5, 2014 DW and I have been on two cruises, both of them on RCI Freedom of the Seas. We are sailing on the Allure on 9-21-14, we cant wait for that cruise.
