Krazy Kruizers Posted August 19, 2014 #26 Share Posted August 19, 2014 Taken just north of Lake Placid: Lovely -- the eyes are so appealing.
Rare PurpleHays Posted August 20, 2014 #27 Share Posted August 20, 2014 They do hide when it is very hot. This was at the Safari Park. We were there only from 9 to 11. It wasn't that hot, but maybe it was too hot for the critters. My local zoo (the NC Zoo) lion family increased by four July 30. The new cubs haven't been named yet and won't go on exhibition until fall. Time for a trip with fully charged batteries this time. Pretty sure we'll have to fight the crowds unless we can go during the week.
funnel Posted August 20, 2014 #28 Share Posted August 20, 2014 Beautiful photos as usual! Love the wildlife and flower photos. Not so much flowers here right now as it has been unusually warm and dry. Here are some from the weekend. Two swans in the lake at my summer house. A small cruise ship. Some photos I took during a "walkabout" in the area around my summer house. Harvesting ongoing. One of the barns. A small church from the 12:th century, rebuilt/renovated in 1695. A stone circle "Big Ship" with graves. One of the bigger in Sweden. This one is probably from a couple of hundred years b.c. /Erik
