OBC, refundable vs non-refundable... how are the different types applied?

When we sailed RCCL, we ended up with a TON of credit that came back to us at the end of our trip and actually WENT HOME with over $800 credited back to our Credit Card. (I know, I know, how does that happen, right ?:D). We started with $400 from our TA in OBC and some additional OBC from the cruise line and we also had 2 RCCL excursions that were cancelled due to weather that we had pre-paid for that were credited back to us. Every dime of OBC we did not use was credited back to our CC. Looking back at the fact that we had so much LEFT OVER, I'm curious about our NCL cruise and how they work things out if you don't spend it all.

We are starting out with OBC from our TA and OBC from an NCL promotion. I also will have at least $200 in OBC from my NCL Master Card. I'm assuming that the OBC from our TA is refundable, but that the NCL promotional OBC is not. What about the Master Card OBC? Is that refundable if we don't use it? In what order do they apply the OBC on the ship, refundable vs non-refundable? It's looking like I will have about $600 total in OBC and we are not big drinkers other than wine at dinner; We have a spa balcony, so we won't need to buy a spa pass. We hope to use a big portion of it to get into Vibe, but being first time cruisers with NCL we have no priority boarding and don't know if we will be successful in the mad dash to customer service to secure a spot in Vibe which might leave us with a chunk of OBC left to spend.

So, the big question, will they use the non-refundable OBC first? Or will they use the TA OBC first? We don't understand how they keep track of the OBC once you're on board and in what order they will apply it and we just don't want to lose the Master Card OBC we've been working hard to accumulate. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Any nonrefundable OBC can be changed to refundable from your stateroom by using the online casino (if the Breakaway has this option on your tv). You buy credit on the tv casino and then cash it out. It changes from nonrefundable to refundable. You can follow it on the activity of your account. This worked well for us last week on the Epic.
