Men's Spa Facilities on Cruise ships: Which ones do you think are the best?

Updates

On Explorer of the sea atm

Sauna  & steamroom working

But the steamroom is temperamental so the changing room attendant said, each morning a plumber has to adjust it to start it up.

Was on Celebrity Infinity in May / June this year. Sauna was in operation then ..

Good to hear Explorer still features these amenities--thanks for the update. I seem to recall from our cruise on Explorer some years ago that there were issues with the steam room even back then. We'll be on board in January 2025, fingers crossed everything is still operable and available.

I'll be on NCL Jewel November 24 out of Tampa.  I'm hoping to have a relaxing time in the thermal suite.  Does anyone know if this ship has a hot tub in the men's only side?

Was on Jewell in '13 to Alaska,  nice ship.  Didn't even think about the spa, we were always  busy.

On Holland America Zuiderdam Dec. 4th.  Definitely looking forward to the free men only sauna.

Yes it has a hot tub. I think only NCLPearl removed the hit tub and put in one man tubs.

The pearl definitely removed the hot tub and now has a one man hot bathtub, steam, sauna, and a cold plunge in the men's side.

Has anyone been in the Epic thermal spa lately? I am going in November out of Cape Canaveral and got the thermal pass.

My partner and me are considering a Dec 25 cruise on the Caribbean Princess. Currently the deck plans show a free steam room and sauna in the men's locker room AND a thermal suite for a supplemental charge. I have read reports that Princess is re-formatting some ships and eliminating those amenities.  There is an April 25 dry dock potentially planned. Has anyone heard if those areas will be removed? I don't know if their absence will be a deal breaker but we do enjoy both the sauna and the steam. Any insight is appreciated.

The potential remodel will be after your December cruise, so you should be in luck. I have sailed on her a few years back and the setup was great! Both Sauna and Steam in men's only area. Do it!

Here are some pictures from my cruise in December last year.  I believe it is still there.  The streamroom is insanely hot.  I can usually handle a long steam but my skin was burning.  The sauna is moderately warm.   Gets busy in the morning and mid afternoons.

Oh I thought the remodel was in April of 2025 and my cruise is would be Dec 2025. Maybe I have the dry dock date incorrect? Thanks for all your responses.

Ooops I thought you meant Dec 25th!  My Bad.............I never plan cruises that far in advance so I wasn't thinking that far ahead......  Check the Princess site for deck plans to confirm any changes.

I was on the Gem in March- they had a one man tub in the men's and women's areas, with a large tub in the common area.  The sauna was very nice with large ocean view.

I just returned yesterday from Carnival Legend in Europe and I am happy to report that in the month-long dry dock in April/May there was a complete makeover in the men's only locker/fitness area!  The best news is that these facilities remain FREE OF CHARGE!  Gone is the long hallway where the 4 showers were in enclosed separate rooms.  The showers are now "semi-open" with curtains.  Of course, you can enjoy an open shower by simply not closing the curtain! The steam room and sauna are across from the showers and have also been re-done.  Both have glass doors and the sauna now has single level seating on both sides.  The steam room has a short bench seat on one side to accommodate a wheelchair.   The lockers are also new and the curtain that used to be just inside the main door has been replaced with a short wall.  There are two toilets (one is accessible).  The Fitness Center had all the machines replaced with new equipment and the hot tub that was formerly in the center was removed and replaced with more new machines.  I also took pictures of the Fitness Center if anyone is interested in seeing them.  These are the pictures I took the first day I was on the ship.  I didn't explore any of the Cloud 9 Spa treatment rooms or other areas there because I had all I needed in the single sex men's locker room!20240707_080442.thumb.jpg.5547b08d5fb34db4224eaedf3f0dbe53.jpg20240707_081443.thumb.jpg.e098c17ac4614a314e0ab524d9a54243.jpg20240707_080456.thumb.jpg.9e45c346725fa900cbee083e6fdda6e3.jpg20240707_080508.thumb.jpg.8f25e561a1fe73726b9e14387a89c18b.jpg20240707_080607.thumb.jpg.fd1f9f680a089722f89f0d4871cc419f.jpg20240707_080611.thumb.jpg.7e5c19ecbc6271ee8809b2a986dcd209.jpg20240707_080616.thumb.jpg.96e787a0a6c8e42aef11c5faba18430a.jpg20240707_080629.thumb.jpg.dcfd36c3d9ce873160c7fd9fab8d6d84.jpg20240725_190103.thumb.jpg.ba01fe2fa58d7623a11e22bfa69d29b8.jpg20240707_080707.thumb.jpg.c5a1f1c99bbb0c4cd7d91aeb1f60ad2c.jpg20240707_080719.thumb.jpg.53d0c7c1af0979e8e32cd9c77b8471d5.jpg20240707_081359.thumb.jpg.45e977a1ec4f0aceaa637a1d59a10639.jpg20240707_081351.thumb.jpg.8af75491426e156356f40ffca0270396.jpg20240721_185329.thumb.jpg.4fb4e14a502fd8f6ab080ebffce97cb3.jpg20240721_185334.thumb.jpg.179431005a6ee8d1f0c44c19f9c8d49f.jpg20240707_081518.thumb.jpg.109c421b6bd523a523ae8595554a505f.jpg20240707_081531.thumb.jpg.0e40075fbc5c60f172ed1dd1315653bc.jpg20240707_081504.thumb.jpg.bbddd5b9634f9522e35c2371861e9e0d.jpg20240707_080516.thumb.jpg.d6732f2b9cb6871563254d9a1e8e4c4b.jpg20240707_080537.thumb.jpg.c0aae5edf947fd7f4a954b35c0c564f2.jpg20240707_080534.thumb.jpg.37ed927195bac0d0769dd2ac15cb77f7.jpg

Cheers from Amalfi! Currently on Oceania Riviera. Nice separate mens/women's sauna and steam, as well as coed outdoor hot tub and loungers.

The other board I posted this information on is the "List of Ships with FREE Steam and/or Saunas"

Sorry, maybe I should have said "Forum" instead of "Board".  It's listed like this one in Cruise Critic Community.  This one is listed as "Men's Spa Facilities on Cruise ships: Which ones do you think are the best?".  The other one is the "List of Ships with FREE Steam and/or Saunas".
