ngmoore Posted May 26, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 26, 2004 1st time on Diamond. Noted price differences between decks 7 & 9 balconies, and wondered what the difference is. Any reason to pay the extra for a Deck 9 cabin? Recommendations on a "best cabin"? Travelling with my sister, so twin beds are preferred. joannapvb Posted May 26, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 26, 2004 No difference other than being higher up - I wouldn't pay for it - we were in #714 perfect - I think it had twins pushed together - Joanna
dougburns Posted May 26, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 26, 2004 Staterooms ending in 6,7,8, and 9 are set up as twins.
mrlevin Posted May 26, 2004 #4 Share Posted May 26, 2004 No reason to pay more. We really enjoyed 741....close to elevator lobby. marc 12/19/02 Mariner 05/24/03 Diamond 10/01/03 Voyager 12/27/03 Voyager <applet code="countdown.class" CODEBASE="http://*************/java-sys" width="203" height="25"> <param name="font" value="lcdb0"> <param name="year" value=2004> <param name="month" value=6> <param name="day" value=2> <param name="hour" value=12> </applet> Seven Seas Navigator Bermuda <applet code="countdown.class" CODEBASE="http://*************/java-sys" width="203" height="25"> <param name="font" value="lcdb0"> <param name="year" value=2004> <param name="month" value=10> <param name="day" value=4> <param name="hour" value=7> </applet> Diamond Oct 4th (DOF) <applet code="countdown.class" CODEBASE="http://*************/java-sys" width="203" height="25"> <param name="font" value="lcdb0"> <param name="year" value=2004> <param name="month" value=11> <param name="day" value=21> <param name="hour" value=07> </applet> Seven Seas Voyager Transatlantic
KarenS Posted May 27, 2004 #5 Share Posted May 27, 2004 Nancy, I recommend 738. It's close to the lobby and you have no neighbor on one side. It is also a right-sided room, meaning when you walk in, the bathroom and bed are on the right side of the cabin. I get discombobulated when my bed is on the left side of the room
lastlook Posted June 1, 2004 #6 Share Posted June 1, 2004 We're already booked in 736 on the Diamond for next Feb. - any comments pro or con on this cabin? I am hoping it is not a twin bedded cabin. We had a nice, large and very comfortable bed on the PG, and hope for the same on the Diamond.....
dougburns Posted June 1, 2004 #7 Share Posted June 1, 2004 Have no fear, the twins can be put together as one bed. Just had the situation aboard Voyager. We always have one large bed. On the day we were getting off they reset the bed as twins. Surprised me; we never noticed it.
lastlook Posted June 1, 2004 #8 Share Posted June 1, 2004 Great! Thanks so much for your reply. I know it's early, but is anyone else on the Diamond 2/6/05?
