Kpurdy79 Posted August 23, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 23, 2014 This may be a silly question but I just want to make sure! I have a debit card from a personal business that I would like to use to buy cruise cash with. Can I use this cruise cash in the casino? I just dont want to carry a ton of cash on board with me. Thanks!

Thanks! Personally I would never purchase Cruise Cash as you lose anything left at the end of that cruise. Do the gift certificate instead. If you are a Verizon customer they have the eCertificate at 10% off. $100 eCertificate for $90. They may be used for anything. Bases5 Posted August 23, 2014 #3 Share Posted August 23, 2014 Cruise cash turns into onboard credit. Yes it can be used in the casino. Pp is correct it's use it or lose it. However since it can be used in the casino you can just cash out any balance

Is that the same as the e-Gift Card I see on the Carnival site?
Firewife1031 Posted August 24, 2014 #6 Share Posted August 24, 2014 Yes it is use it or lose it but you can transfer your balance over to your casino account and cash it out there so you don't lose anything. We always put more $ on our account than we'll use and the last night on the ship we'll go to the casino and transfer the remaining balance over and cash it out at the cage. If you are a Verizon customer just go to MyVerizon and there is a link to redeem your "points". When I joined the VerizonRewards program I immediately had almost 30,000 points. Takes 1,000 points and the cost to redeem. The certificate comes to your inbox almost immediately. I actually paid off a cruise and an excursion (don't usually do a ship one but planned on it for one port) and have more I will put on the S&S account. These are eCertificates and not the Cruise Cash. Saving 10% in actual cost plus receiving double points on the Carnival MasterCard made it a no-brainer for me. How did you get the 10% off and double points? I was thinking about getting the gift certificates but then I won't be paying with the cc to get the points. How do you get this applied to your S&S account? Not trying to hijack the thread, sorry, just curious.
