delta13 Posted August 26, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 26, 2014 I have heard you need closed toe shoes to go on the course. Would water shoes work as I didn't plan on bringing anything but sandals and flip flops. Thanks!

You have to have someone assist you in hooking up so I am sure if it is against the rules you would not be allowed. When we did it we wore sneakers. med9114u Posted August 26, 2014 #3 Share Posted August 26, 2014 Water shoes should be ok if they are closed toe....I did see them turn people away on the Sunshine for having flip flops on though.
T. Advisor King Posted August 27, 2014 #4 Share Posted August 27, 2014 I presume the rationale is not to have flip-flops drop onto someone else's head and not to have you stub your toe. On that basis, I presume that water shoes should be fine. In fact, with some water shoes, you need to be looking pretty closely to know that they aren't the latest funky-looking sneakers. PhoenixDawgCruising Posted August 27, 2014 #5 Share Posted August 27, 2014 My husband and son did it 2 weeks ago on Breeze and tennis shoes or sneakers were required, no sandals or watershoes allowed. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Cruise life Posted August 27, 2014 #6 Share Posted August 27, 2014 I used watershoes, no problem. Went straight to Waterworks to cool off afterwards! Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app
delta13 Posted August 27, 2014 Author #7 Share Posted August 27, 2014 Thanks for the replies. It sounds like I better bring my tennis shoes to be safe or miss out.
vacruizer Posted August 28, 2014 #8 Share Posted August 28, 2014 It may depend on the water shoe what they allow. There are flimsy slip on ones or sandal type, then there are ones meant for water exercise that are more like an athletic shoe. I did it in running shoes - you need something with a enough sole to be able to balance on narrow ropes and such.
cacroozr Posted August 28, 2014 #9 Share Posted August 28, 2014 When we were on the Sunshine, there were people doing it in watershoes.
