taxi to West Bay Beach

From the cruise port, what price am I looking at for cab fare for two to West Bay Beach and return? Looking to snorkel but not an all-day thing, maybe for 2-3 hours. Do you pay each way? Are there cabs waiting for return to the port?

Which cruise port? Coxen Hole or Mahogany Bay? It costs more from Mahogany Bay to West Bay/West End because its further away.

 

I can't give you latest fares, others on the board may have more recent information. As I recall, fares from Coxen Hoel were around $20 pp and fares from MBCC were around $35 pp. And fares inside cruiseports are slightly higher than fares outside cruiseports. You can walk a 1/4 mile from the main entrance to Mahogany Bay and see fares $10-15 pp cheaper.

 

But you need to arrange your transportation return when you hire the taxi as they don't troll or wait for fares at West Bay beaches. This is why many book with Victor Bodden or Rony for "private tours" for West Bay snorkeling or use certain beach resorts' packages, like Bananarama's, which include RT transportation.

Thanks.... So for the $40 to Tabyana Beach from Carnival is not that bad of a price. And according to the excursion write-up, they have transportation back to the ship every 30 minutes.
