DustinandStacy2015 Posted August 28, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 28, 2014 So Carnival just decided today to switch our ships after 20 guests and our wedding had been booked. I'm beyond annoyed.......this ship coming from Carnival Liberty to the Carnival Valor is NOT an ok switch. We lose all the 2.0 upgrades and everything promised to our guests........ mrstriceasnice Posted August 28, 2014 #2 Share Posted August 28, 2014 I saw the Valor had a sudden dry dock switch when I was looking at the Carnival forums today. I'm so sorry. the dry dock schedule says the Sensation is due to go in right after my wedding so I am keeping my fingers crossed the schedule is right. I was the last sailing of the Destiny before her dry dock to become the Sunshine. Apparently if I sail the ship must go directly to dry dock. I'm sure you know this (and it will make more work for you in the next day), but you have 24 hours to change your cruise since Carnival made the decision. I'd do a quick poll of the ones who might care or at least the must-have guests to see if it will matter to them.
DustinandStacy2015 Posted August 28, 2014 Author #4 Share Posted August 28, 2014 Contacted carnival and they said they would offer no compensation...... they "assured" us she would have the 2.0 upgrade before we got on but I want that in writing or if it isn't done we want compensation. I'm sick to my stomach.
grooveynurse Posted August 28, 2014 #5 Share Posted August 28, 2014 We had to change our date and ship because of this. However Carnival handled this AMAZINGLY. I'm ok with the changes. Switching the date isn't a huge deal since we don't have many sailing guests and our family lives near the port.
