cruising_diva Posted August 30, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 30, 2014 I don't know if there is a better place for me to post this question, and if there is, someone please let me know. Can anyone provide a comprehensive list of the video games that are available in the arcade of the Carnival Dream? I have looked elsewhere and not been able to find it. I have looked at pictures and can't really make much out. I know there is air hockey, etc. I'm just looking for more specific information. Thanks so much in advance for any help. lazyart Posted August 30, 2014 #3 Share Posted August 30, 2014 Yeah, it might take longer than an hour on a holiday weekend for someone to respond.
cruising_diva Posted August 30, 2014 Author #4 Share Posted August 30, 2014 That was rude and NOT helpful at all. Like I said, I wasn't even sure this was the best place to ask this question, that's all.
splintz Posted August 30, 2014 #5 Share Posted August 30, 2014 it's been a couple years since i have been on the dream but it seems like all the ships have the same arcade layout that i have been on. 1-air hockey, 2- skee ball, 4to5-various ticket/point collecting games, 2-shooting games usually a deer hunter game, and another shooting game, a motorcycle riding game, 1to2-driving games, a key hole game with various electronics as prices, and of course 1to2-prize grabber games. and then they have a prize collection machine where you collect prizes from the ticket dispensing machines(actual ticket numbers go on your sail and sign card). MarkAndSandy Posted August 30, 2014 #6 Share Posted August 30, 2014 A suggestion of how you might get the list you are seeking.... Maybe find an upcoming Dream roll call and post your question there, asking someone that's about to get on the ship to post pictures and/or a list of what's in there.... I promise you, if I thought it was rude I wouldn't have posted. Just be patient and answers will follow. Cheers.
Naomi John Posted August 30, 2014 #8 Share Posted August 30, 2014 but I've been on the Magic. First, the arcade is behind the teen clubs, (02 and Circle C). Saw the air hockey, some car and gun video games, and a lot of "games" for tickets, which you can trade in for cheesy cheap knick knacks, (think chucky cheese but smaller). And a "game" similar to one found in the casino but instead of cash, it has prizes like mp3 players, or stuffed animals etc., and it is almost impossible to win one, but the kids keep poring their money in to the machine. if I sound negative, sorry. I do not like the "arcades" on the ships.
cruising_diva Posted August 31, 2014 Author #9 Share Posted August 31, 2014 Thanks everyone for the tips. My brother in law will be accompanying my husband and I on our cruise. He is autistic and LOVES video games - especially old school games from Nintendo, N64, Sega, etc. He asked me about the games that would be in the arcade, so I was just trying to find out for him. I know its not likely that any of the games will be to his liking (he doesn't like racing games). He is also looking forward to movies on the deck and free popcorn. :) Thanks for the help everyone. lazyart Posted August 31, 2014 #10 Share Posted August 31, 2014 Maybe get him a portable system? They made a handheld Sega Genesis a few years ago... can probably still find them online. Google Sega Genesis Ultimate Portable.
