[Blue Horizon]

I was on the Breakaway a year ago in August. Mobbed with young families. We have to realize that little ones and teenagers don't walk but run and don't just talk, but shout. It seems that parents have forgotten to teach good manners...... or am I just an old f---t. Anyway after that cruise I vowed not to take a cruise out of NYC, the east coast ports or west coast when school is out.

I guess when school is out I'm limited to Holland America....... Lol

It really is the responsibility of the line to be consistent in enforcing policy.

They should be concerned about the comfort of all categories of guests.

I try not to book when school is out. Also after sailing on. The Breakaway from NYC during August I vowed not to book when school is out if the cruise will attract lots of families. I have 2 toddler granddaughters and another on the way, but one really has to carefully judge their vacation needs. After all on a ship we are a captive audience....... We don't want to become hostages.

 

Does this mean I'm limited to Holland America ,,,,,,,, lol

We try not to travel during school vacations. If we do it is on Princess. Just have to remember NCL is largely for family cruises. Kids are out of their element and tend to run amuck, however the parents tend to think the crew are their babysitters. If you must travel with kids just take a breath and remember your on vacation nobody can ruin your good time but yourself :).
