Rare BillOh Posted September 15, 2014 #76 Share Posted September 15, 2014 I believe EmpressofPurple has just written a definitive description of Roll calls and M&Ms. jc Your right, that was pretty good. The only thing I would have added is its easy to catch the personal conversations and skip over them. And its easy to start another simultaneous topic. I know on my Freedom roll call me and one other member in the same general lattitude (38 degrees) will be going through our 2nd winter together and with last year's winter it was hard not to bring it up. mon1jan1 Posted September 27, 2014 #77 Share Posted September 27, 2014 If you haven't joined the roll call of your next cruise ( or cruises), do so today. Make a new friend or two today! Seriously, even if your cruise is only a three nighter, get in on the conversation. Ask a question if you have one, if you are a veteran cruiser, there is a new cruiser out there that has questions and may need your advice. Share your knowledge! Kkross Posted September 27, 2014 #78 Share Posted September 27, 2014 (edited) Ours is pretty slow moving. Last year we took my daughter for the first time on CCL. Thru that roll call we set up a kids roll call. It was great. She had "friends" to hang out with. Edited September 27, 2014 by Kkross
Rare BillOh Posted September 27, 2014 #79 Share Posted September 27, 2014 Agree...I've had 2-3 people totally destroy a roll call...talking about weddings, schools,.....it becomes their own private chat room... Only if you let it. Their posts don't stop you from contributing something you think is relevant.
