Important Email from Carnival:Liberty 9/13 cruise

Important information regarding your Carnival Liberty September 13, 2014 cruise:

"The Carnival Liberty will be docking at Terminal 10 when she returns from her current voyage. Therefore, when you arrive at the port for check-in, please be sure to look for signs leading you to Terminal 10.

 

However, when we return, we will be docking at Terminal 6. Complimentary shuttle service will be available to take you to the parking facilities at Terminal 10.

 

If you will be picked up by friends, family, or commercial transportation when you return from your cruise, please let them know they should pick you up at Terminal 6."

 

Just curious about reason why?

The same thing happened on our Carnival Freedom cruise out of Fort Lauderdale. However, there was no advance notice. Embarkation was in the terminal Princess typically uses. Disembarkation was at the Freedom's usual terminal.

There are only a couple or so berths at Pt Canaveral that Carnival uses. Because the cruise is an 8 day cruise, things need to be shifted around a bit so that the berths used for Carnival Sensation and for the Carnival Sunshine cruises are available for them.

 

This has happened a few times and I expected that for this weekend as we are using the same berth that Carnival Sunshine sails from, but it's not available on the day we return because Sensation will be using it.

They did the same thing for our Liberty cruise in June.

This happened to us in June on Liberty. Luckily for us we had left our car at the Radaisson so this didnt affect us.

 

Friends had to wait a long time to be shuttled to the other terminal.
