figdu Posted September 11, 2014 #2 Share Posted September 11, 2014 Are you asking about a gallery tour or galley tour? If galley it is part of the behind the fun tour which is still being done.
Carnival_Brides Posted September 11, 2014 #3 Share Posted September 11, 2014 (edited) Are you asking about a gallery tour or galley tour? And on the other hand, the art auctioneers would love to ply you with free champagne and give you an art tour free of charge for the gallery tour. :)

Fun to be with someone who is actually bidding on and buying the art. Remember though... after the set dollar amount you will have to pay duty on the remaining. PAPERBKWRITER Posted September 11, 2014 #8 Share Posted September 11, 2014 Haven't seen any free kitchen tours on Carnival for a long time. Last year Celebrity gave our CC group a tour of the bridge.
TPFKAH Posted September 11, 2014 #9 Share Posted September 11, 2014 That's because Carnival invented a way to gouge us for the privilege. Ah, the days when it was a platinum perk with a private tour. Before that, a published activity. Sad to see it's now a charged "privilege".

SadieN Posted September 11, 2014 #11 Share Posted September 11, 2014 Princess still does a galley tour. Ends in a dining room full of 'sale' stuff.
onegroundcafe Posted September 13, 2014 #12 Share Posted September 13, 2014 We did it back when it was free, it was fascinating!
RuthlessBoss Posted September 13, 2014 #13 Share Posted September 13, 2014 That's because Carnival invented a way to gouge us for the privilege. Call it gouging if you want, but it's hugely a popular tour people pay for.
kteachcruiser52 Posted September 15, 2014 #14 Share Posted September 15, 2014 We did a free galley tour on RCCL in Feb. The waiters are given some tickets and they choose who to give them to. It was a fun experience. We are going to do a Behind the Fun tour on the Splendor in Nov.
