cruising_diva Posted September 25, 2014 Author #26 Share Posted September 25, 2014 (edited) That may very well be, but Carnival is trying to discourage it. Two weeks ago when I emailed my PVP with a price drop request, she emailed me back with a link to the online price protection form. Davey Wavey Posted September 25, 2014 #27 Share Posted September 25, 2014 I do my own bookings online. Now that you know about PVPs, consider for future bookings finding your price and then calling a PVP and see what they have to offer...and maybe do the same with a travel agent. This coming trip is my first using a PVP and he was able to get me a cabin on the Lido for the same price I could get a lower level for. I also noticed the website only lists a certain number of cabins in a given category, mostly from forward to aft. I wondered if there were any cabins available further back. He could see lots of cabins available that I wanted that didn't show as available on the website. Anyway, it's just another resource to give you more options to pick what is best for your needs.
