Passport

One of us might not have our passport in time!! :confused:

It's taken longer than 7 weeks! We leave on Friday from Texas.

 

Do we have to have a passport to get on the boat?

And do we have to have one to get on and off at every port?

Are you American citizens, on the Divina. You don't need passports, only WHTI approved documents, license and certified BCs.

Clearly states that from port beginning in the US and ending there passports ate not needed

I had seen conflicting info on needing a passport to get off the cruise in St Maartan.....

I have had some agents ask for marriage certificates for ladies whose last name does not match their birth certificates and they want no copies....originals.....but you will be good, no passport needed for St. Martin...unless you plan an excursion over to another island....we left St. Thomas for BVI on a trip and needed it for the return back to St. Thomas...but on "closed circuit" cruises which means they start and end at the same point in the US......no passport needed.....

Don't want to be a scare mongrel but, whilst the others are correct about not requiring a passport to board, there are risks in travelling without one. I know it's not your fault as this was not planned and due to hold ups at the passport office. If for any reason you have to leave the cruise (illness etc) you will most definitely have issues getting home. It is a risk and 99% of the time not one that will become an issue but when it does it adds to the trauma and cost of whatever necessitated the early disembark.

Do you have proof that you are an American citizen...such as an original birth certificate with a raised seal?

 

While you may not need a passport....you will need proof that you are American.
