Dover 2015 trip and hotel

We are booked for the 1st 12-day Dover trip next year in July. Does anyone know when DCL will release the precruise hotel information? I contacted them a month ago and they informed me that they will release it "soon". When do they historically release that information?

No one ever knows DCL's time line.

 

In previous years, they used upscale London hotels in the $500 per night range. We went to Dover a day early and had a clean but rather basic place there for FAR less. Also, DCL transfers wee $70 per person one way. We paid 4 pounds for the public bus which made 2 stops between Victoria station and Dover.

thank you for the response. Which public bus did you take and where can one take this? How long was the public bus ride to Dover?

We found the bus on line. I think it was called National Bus Line or something similar. The price varied based on how far ahead you purchased. It departed from Victoria station and stopped at some big shopping place and at Canterbury. It took maybe 3 hours. My logic was that it must have been close to the same time as the DCL bus. We paid 4 pounds each for the bus and a then the next day 5 pounds total for a taxi from the hotel to the cruise terminal. VERY easy. The bus let us off 1 block from the hotel with an apology that he couldn't turn around in their drive.
