Wyndham Hotel FLL

We've just booked the Wyndham hotel in FLL and was wondering if it's in a decent part of town. Forgot to ask them how close it is to pier and if they have a shuttle. Would appreciate any info on this hotel.

We have stayed there with our family; two rooms- three grandchildren. It is a nice airport hotel. Sign up for Wyndham By Request their frequent guest program. They do have a shuttle from the airport to the hotel (it was free). Ask early the next morning at the transportation/conceriege stand outside, if the driver can take you to the pier, which is about 5 miles or less depending on which terminal. It will all depend on the amount of incoming traffic. We (7) were accommodated and we paid him about $25-30 because that was cheaper than 2 taxi's. Also, there is a nice Tropical restaurant less than 2 miles down the street but you cannot walk; highway area. Again, the shuttle driver will take you and pick you up for a tip. Ask the conceriege to make a reservation for you.

Most reviews of the airport Wyndham are not good... Keep in mind that if you won't have a rental car there's absolutely nothing to walk to from there.
